Hello there! I'm back! Today I talking about man and his environment: the positive and negative impact . It has change our living alot ever since man created such useful inventions. Let me talk about the positve impact. Firstly, with modern technology, it is easier for us to communicate and move about. For example, without Alexander Graham Bell's brilliant invention of the telephone, how will today be like? Now for the negative part. We have been clearing land for farming and building homes....but think before you act. We have been destroying Mother Earth instead of saving Her. The pollutions, burning of forest, destroying animal's homes.... All these things are causing harm, global warming and tearing the ozone layer. Think about the future. What will it be like? Just barren land with no trees, the tranquility of the forest.... It is time for us to change and start saving Mother Earth and cherish her for providing the things we need. I know that we have organise stuff like earth day and so on, but I want everyone to do their part to save Gaia like switching off lights when not in use and more. Bit by bit, we can save the Earth!

Hi! Today I'm talking about a article from south-east Asia, which is from Singapore. It is about a death of a 13 year old boy by the name of Ian Fong who died on Wednesday from the H1N1 flu virus. It started out as a mild cough and fever which then went up into fits and he went into a coma which he never woke up from. Ian has been suffering from epilepsy for more than 1o years and was admitted into the National University Hospital's intensive care unit last Sunday. Besides suffering from epilepsy, he also suffered from attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder. His mother could not bear to let him go but was thankful that he held on for three days to spend the time with his parents. Ian died on the same day as his mother's birthday and she said it is one she will never be able to forget. This tragedy has certainly taught me more vigilant by staying healthy and not ending up geting sick!

Hi! Everyone! Its been a long time since I last wrote. Today I'm writing about Racial Harmony Day. My school just celebrated it. We were suppose to gather in the hall but because of the current H1N1, we had to stay in the classroom. Since we cannot gather together, our school recorded a video which we were suppose to watch. The first part of the show was about different wedding ceremonies: Eurasian, Chinese,Indian and Malay. I like the Eurasian wedding the most. Besides the funny scenes it is also interesting how the priest perform his task. Next was about neighbour who cares for the other neighbour who had just moved into Singapore. I find it very touching. My neighbour next door is a family of three and they are Chinese. When we see them, we greet them and talk about some stuff. We also give goodies to each other whenever we make or buy. We also did some henna in class. Henna is a tall shrub or small tree. It is then grounded until it becomes paste. It is then drawn on hands. It was not easy as I have expected. Well to end this, I must say Racial Harmony Day is important as we get along with other races and live in peace. Bye!

Hi! I'm back! Today I'm going to talk about""kindness". What is kindness mean? Well, in my opinion.....it means that we help people without them telling you to help them. Some people think that WHY is it important to be kind. Actually, kindness can be done at anytime and anywhere. You don't really have to find one. When you help those who need help, maybe you will get a reward or maybe not. But when you help, you will too feel happy for doing a good deed and same goes for the other party as you've help them. For example, while walking down the streets, you saw an old lady crossing the street, carrying bags of heavy groceries. You walk over to her to offer your help. Its very simple and easy to do. One example I've done in my life is when I was in a jam-packed MRT, sitting on a seat when I saw an elderly woman standing. I looked around and no one gave up their sit to her. So I warm-heartedly sacrifice my sit to her. She was pleased to have a sit and thanked me. I was grateful that I've done a good deed, smiling on the way. If I have the chance to do kindness, I would donate money to charity to help those people who need the money more than I do. So do your part to help people and be happy to help them!:)

Hi again! Our SA1 are drawing near and I'm so nervous. I've been doing revision since the beginning of the year. Anyway, our ORAL exam had just finished yesterday. I was so nervous when I entered the hall . We have to line up according to our classes first and wait for the teacher to assign us to our groups. When it began, my hands were shaking as I was the second person in the group. At first, I thought my examiner was strict like Mrs Subrah. But in the end, she was quite kind :). I was nervous when it was my turn and my palms are sweating. The picture was about a zoo where an art competition was held. I was so nervous that my mind went blank. Everything turn out fine except for my examiner pointing out to my mistakes. Next was the Chinese oral. I felt nervous too. I was so lucky that I was tested by my Chinese teacher, Miss chong. Ah yes, the picture part. I didn't have much to say about it because there's nothing much to describe. Anyway I gave in my best. She said my reading was fine but I need to practice on my picture conversation. I was relieved that I had finished. I hope I get good marks for this:). Next Monday is our composition. I hope I can do well too. Bye!

Hi again!! Our school just celebrated International Friendship Day last Thursday. This year theme is "Getting to know ASEAN". Well if I'm not wrong, The tradition of dedicating a day in honor of friends began in US in 1935, I'm sure all of you are wondering what ASEAN is. Well it stand for The Association of Southeast Asian Nations. It was founded on August 8,1967. ASEAN consist of 10 countries now: Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Laos, Brunei, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar and Cambodia. Our school organised a concert for us to know more about ASEAN. It was fun as we get to know more about other countries and what's more, an Indonesian lady if I'm not wrong, came and told us about her country. To tell you the truth, I don't have any friends in the ASEAN countries. What I think is we (as in my school) should set up stalls, each on different country's culture and other things. I hope you've enjoyed this post. Bye bye!

Hallo again!! If you have the chance to come to Singapore, I would strongly encourage you to visit the National Museum of Singapore as I have already went there with my class last Monday. It was really exciting as we got to go our own, but I went with Daphne. We got a special device called the Companion to guide us around the history gallery. We got a short briefing on how to use the Companion. Everyone was ahead of us as we walk slowly to view the things that are displayed there. Daphne and me soon caught up with the rest. I think I need more time as we did not went into the event path and went to the personnel path. As we are nearing to the exit, all of my classmates were already there. As we still have some time left Daphne and me went back to view the exhibits again as it was interesting. what I like the best in there is the old dollar notes they used in teh past. The notes were much bigger than those modern ones! We also went to three other galleries: the wayang, fashion and food gallery. They were also like the history gallery but a bit smaller. Here's some pictures of the in the museum:
