Hi again!! Our school just celebrated International Friendship Day last Thursday. This year theme is "Getting to know ASEAN". Well if I'm not wrong, The tradition of dedicating a day in honor of friends began in US in 1935, I'm sure all of you are wondering what ASEAN is. Well it stand for The Association of Southeast Asian Nations. It was founded on August 8,1967. ASEAN consist of 10 countries now: Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Laos, Brunei, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar and Cambodia. Our school organised a concert for us to know more about ASEAN. It was fun as we get to know more about other countries and what's more, an Indonesian lady if I'm not wrong, came and told us about her country. To tell you the truth, I don't have any friends in the ASEAN countries. What I think is we (as in my school) should set up stalls, each on different country's culture and other things.
